Job Title: Lifting Supervisor (IMMEDIATE JOINER)
Job Summary:
Responsible for supervising all lifting and rigging operations at the project site, ensuring safe and compliant execution in line with CPECC standards and international lifting regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily lifting activities involving cranes, forklifts, and rigging teams.
- Ensure lifting operations follow approved lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Verify that all lifting equipment and accessories are certified, tagged, and fit for use.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings before lifts.
- Communicate clearly with crane operators and riggers using standard hand signals or radio.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and immediately stop unsafe operations.
- Assist in preparing lifting permits and reviewing lift plans with engineers.
- Maintain daily reports and lifting logs for documentation and audits.
- Support incident investigation and reporting if lifting-related issues occur.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Technical diploma in mechanical, construction, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in lifting operations in oil & gas, refinery, or EPC projects.
- Certifications (mandatory or preferred):
- Lifting Supervisor Certificate (e.g., OPITO, TUV, or equivalent)
- Rigging & Slinging Certification
- Basic HSE Training (e.g., H2S, Fire Safety, etc.)
- Knowledge of:
- Lifting plans, crane types and capacities, slinging techniques
- International lifting safety standards (LOLER, ASME B30, etc.)
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Attention to detail and safety-first mindset
- Basic report writing and documentation ability
