Lifting Foreman – Dubai, UAE
Company Overview:
Join our dynamic team in the heart of Dubai’s construction industry! We specialize in heavy lifting, rigging, and precision load handling across infrastructure, industrial, and high-rise projects. We’re seeking a skilled Lifting Foreman to lead our lifting operations safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all lifting activities (crane operations, rigging, signaling) in accordance with approved Lifting Plans and risk assessments
- Brief and mentor lifting crew (crane operators, riggers, signalmen), ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Prepare and review lift plans, conduct toolbox talks, maintain permit and inspection logs .
- Inspect lifting gear, slings, shackles, cranes, and site conditions before each job
- Coordinate with site managers, engineers, HSE teams, and subcontractors to ensure seamless operations
- Maintain documentation: incident reports, daily logs, equipment certifications .
- Enforce health and safety practices, conduct risk assessments, and ensure PPE compliance
Qualifications & Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as a lifting/rigging foreman or supervisor, preferably with operations in UAE
- Certified LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) or equivalent rigging certification
- Strong knowledge of LOLER regulations and risk assessment methodologies
- Physical capability: lift up to 80 lbs, bend, squat, work at heights and outdoors
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Diploma / certification in mechanical, civil, or safety engineering preferred
Desired Skills
- Ability to read technical drawings, calculate center of gravity, and assess load weights
- Proactive in identifying safety hazards and implementing control measures .
- Proficient in report writing, documentation, and liaising with multi-disciplinary teams .
Physical & Safety Requirements
- Must operate comfortably in outdoor environments and adverse weather .
- Physically fit: able to lift and handle equipment up to 80 lbs regularly .
- Commitment to upholding the highest safety standards and team welfare.
Education & Certifications Requirement Details:
High school diploma/GED (minimum);
Relevant vocational diploma preferred
Certifications LEEA or equivalent is an added advantage.
