A reputable Automobile company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Manager to join our growing team. Job Summary:
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our Logistics Department, from procurement and sourcing to warehousing and distribution of the cars. This includes developing and implementing strategies to optimize inventory control & levels, reduce costs, improve supplier relationships, and ensure timely delivery of products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with company objectives.
- Manage and optimize the entire supply chain process, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance.
- Forecast demand and plan inventory levels to meet customer needs while minimizing holding costs.
- Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of goods.
- Manage transportation and logistics, optimizing routes and delivery schedules.
- Implement and maintain logistics management systems (e.g.WMS etc).
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and Aftersales, to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage and mentor a logistics team.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
- Risk management and mitigation.
- Reducing costs.
- Staying updated with the latest industry practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Logistics Management, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, best practices, and processes.
- UAE experience is highly recommended.
- Strong knowledge of Miral 2 / Dubai Trade System
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
