JOB SUMMARY: Excelerate Energy (EE) is seeking a qualified and motivated security professional for the position Manager, Global Security, based in our Dubai, UAE office. This leadership role reports to the Director of Global Security within the Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality (HSSEQ) department and will support oversight of a global portfolio encompassing maritime, corporate, and enterprise security.
As the Deputy Company Security Officer (CSO) for ISPS Code compliance, you will serve as a central point of contact and strategic partner supporting the company's terminals and vessels. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the development and implementation of ship and terminal security policies, programs, and risk assessments across the Excelerate Energy fleet. You will also help manage a network of third-party providers and oversee indirect reports, ensuring alignment and compliance with international standards and regulatory requirements.
Additional responsibilities include vetting company-wide travel to higher-risk locations, providing travel security guidance, mitigation strategies, and monitoring when necessary. Conduct intelligence and geopolitical monitoring, support worldwide corporate office security, and perform other security duties as required.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in maritime, travel, and corporate security, along with experience in the oil and gas industry. Success in this role requires exceptional program management, strategic planning, and communication skills. The candidate must be capable of building trusted relationships, delivering actionable threat intelligence, and implementing comprehensive security solutions in a dynamic global environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to the following activities:
Leadership & Strategy
- Serve as Deputy CSO, supporting the Director and CSO in all ISPS Code compliance and maritime security functions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of global security strategies, policies, procedures, and initiatives across maritime, corporate, and enterprise domains.
- Act as a key liaison with internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory bodies on global security matters.
Maritime & Terminal Security
- Oversee compliance with ISPS Code for vessels and terminals.
- Manage and conduct maritime security audits, drills, and exercises.
- Maintain and update Ship and Terminal Security Plans and Risk Registers.
- Assist with formal assessments of high-risk project areas and transit routes.
Enterprise Security Support
- Support physical security programs at corporate offices and project sites.
- Assist in managing global travel security programs, journey management, and travel threat assessments.
- Contribute to the development and execution of emergency response, crisis management, and business continuity plans.
Risk Management & Intelligence
- Monitor global security threats and disseminate intelligence through Security Bulletins.
- Conduct security vulnerability assessments for new and existing operations and office locations.
- Maintain and update the Corporate Security Risk Register.
Training & Compliance
- Develop, deliver and implement security training programs for vessel crew members and company personnel.
- Ensure third-party security providers meet international standards and local regulations.
- Support internal and external audits, including TMSA, DoC, and ISPS compliance.
Technology & Innovation
- Recommend and support the implementation of new security technologies and intelligence platforms.
- Assist in managing electronic access control and surveillance systems for company offices and field locations.
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Approximately 20%.
WORK AUTHORIZATION: Candidates must be authorized to work in assigned location.

- A bachelor’s degree in security management, global affairs, maritime studies, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in maritime and/or corporate security, preferably in the energy or shipping industry.
- Certified Company Security Officer (CSO) and Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO).
- Strong knowledge of ISPS Code and international security standards.
- Experience with crisis management, emergency response, and business continuity planning.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel internationally as required.
