Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Draughtsman to join our MEP design and drafting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate plumbing drawings and layouts for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The role requires strong coordination with other MEP disciplines to ensure clash-free and code-compliant designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed shop drawings, coordination drawings, and schematic layouts for:
- Drainage and vent piping
- Rainwater and stormwater systems
- RO/soft water systems, if applicable
- Grease interceptors, sump pits, and water tanks
- Interpret design intent from MEP engineers and translate into constructible drawings.
- Review architectural, structural, and MEP plans to determine routing, pipe sizing, and placement of plumbing systems.
- Apply local authority regulations and codes (e.g., Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi DCD, QCS) in all drawings.
- Coordinate pipework routes with structural beams, ceilings, and other utilities to ensure constructability.
- Generate isometric and riser diagrams for all vertical and horizontal plumbing networks.
- Requirements:
- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering or Plumbing Design.
- 1+ years of experience as a Plumbing Draughtsman in the construction/MEP sector.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting tools.
- Good understanding of plumbing systems and related codes.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Strong coordination and detailing skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
