Job Summary:
The MEP Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of workers engaged in the installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems at construction sites. He ensures that all work is carried out as per project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead MEP technicians and subcontractors at site.
- Coordinate and plan daily work activities and allocate tasks accordingly.
- Ensure installation work (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) complies with drawings and specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and provide progress updates to supervisors/engineers.
- Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) guidelines.
- Attend site coordination meetings with other trades and report any conflicts or issues.
- Prepare material requests and ensure timely availability of tools and equipment.
- Troubleshoot problems and assist in resolving technical issues on-site.
- Maintain records of daily progress, manpower, and materials used.
- Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections and approvals.
Requirements:
- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in MEP works, with at least 2 years as a foreman.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and quality standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in UAE/GCC region preferred.
- Ability to manage multicultural teams.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills and reporting.
