Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented MEP Store Keeper to manage and maintain our construction project stores. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of proven experience in handling MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) materials in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store MEP materials and equipment as per project requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using store management software.
- Issue materials to site personnel based on approved material request forms.
- Coordinate with procurement and project teams for timely material delivery.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and protection of materials to prevent damage or loss.
- Monitor material usage and provide regular reports to project and management teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards in the store area.
- Conduct periodic physical inventory checks and reconcile stock variances.
- Handle documentation related to material receipts, transfers, and returns.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience as a Store Keeper in the MEP or construction industry.
- Knowledge of MEP materials, specifications, and usage.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, Excel, or other software).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in record-keeping.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and storekeeping best practices.
Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Technical certifications in storekeeping or materials management will be an advantage
