About the Role:
KEA Building Contracting LLC is seeking a practical and experienced MEP Supervisor to join our team to oversee MEP site activities, ensuring quality, safety, and timely execution of work. The ideal candidate will lead a team of technicians and helpers, ensuring all installations and testing are completed as per project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation to plan MEP installations.
2. Supervise the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
3. Coordinate daily site activities, ensuring optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
4. Inspect and repair water supply lines, drainage systems, and sanitary fixtures; ensure proper functionality of DWV systems.
5. Monitor project timelines and maintain detailed progress reports, site logs, and performance records.
6. Ensure all site activities comply with health, safety, and quality standards as per local regulations and project specifications.
7. Diagnose faults and lead troubleshooting for plumbing, HVAC, or electrical issues.
8. Plan material and equipment needs; monitor inventory levels and order supplies as required.
9. Supervise subcontractors and site personnel; assign tasks, provide guidance, and evaluate team performance.
10. Participate in coordination meetings with project stakeholders to align on timelines, dependencies, and technical requirements.
11. Ensure technical accuracy and high standards of workmanship across all MEP installations.
12. Handle on-site emergencies promptly and effectively.
13. Understand construction workflows, project sequencing, and resource planning.
14. Maintain continuous documentation for commissioning checklists, inspection approvals, and quality control records.
15. Ensure the implementation of energy-efficient and sustainable MEP solutions where applicable.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing works, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role within the construction industry.
2. Education: Diploma or certification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant technical trade from an accredited institution.
3. Licensing: Must possess a valid UAE driving license.
4. Technical Expertise:In-depth knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
○ Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, MEP shop drawings, and schematics.
○ Experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting MEP systems.
5. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with UAE building codes, authority requirements, and industry best practices.
6. Leadership & Communication:
○ Strong supervisory, organizational, and time management skills.
○ Ability to communicate effectively with teams, consultants, and clients.
○ Capable of translating instructions into actionable site tasks with measurable results.
7. Additional Skills:
○ Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure.
○ Sound knowledge of construction sequencing, material handling, and quality assurance.
○ Capable of identifying and resolving conflicts or issues on-site proactively.
