Main Objective:
§ To provide assistance in the management of the day to day workload for the maintenance team to ensure an effective and efficient service is delivered and departmental targets are achieved.
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
§ Engineering / ITI trade qualification as a minimum, with a preference towards an advance trade certificate or higher.
§ Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar role in the related field.
§ Ability to build strong relationships with team members bringing credibility and respect.
§ Good oral and written communication skills, proficient in using computer.
Duties & Tasks:
§ Manage the allocation of workforce and resources to ensure that all maintenance requests will be completed effectively and efficiently.
§ Oversee the set up and safe operation of department; ensure the compliance to all relevant company policies, Quality Assurance and ISO systems.
§ Provide regular on-site support and technical assistance to staff to ensure the job is progressing as planned.
§ Develop, coordinate and execute plans for emergency work.
§ Ensures workforce effectiveness by eliminating potential for delays and by setting expectations for quality and expected duration.
§ Liaise between the management and the team for any work-related concerns. Communicate and coordinate the flow of information to and from other areas of the organization for the team.
§ Maintains a safe working environment including the use of PPE, and compliance with all
safety rules and procedures.
§ Teach, train, coach and assist team members as needed and seek help if necessary to achieve the needed performance.
§ Promote teamwork, positive environment, and continuous improvement activities.
§ Ensures compliance to systems, processes and procedures.
§ Provide weekly and monthly reports to Facility Engineer.
