We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team specializing in interior fit-out projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints, stains, and coatings, and delivering high-quality finishes on walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other surfaces. Experience in commercial and high-end residential fit-outs is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes and cracks, and applying primer where necessary.
- Mix and match paints and finishes to achieve desired colors and textures.
- Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
- Ensure a smooth, even, and high-quality finish according to project specifications.
- Protect furniture, flooring, and adjacent areas during painting.
- Work closely with other trades and supervisors to meet project timelines.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and follow site safety practices.
- Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed during and after installation phases.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a painter, preferably within the fit-out or construction industry.
- Familiarity with various painting techniques, surface prep methods, and finishing materials.
- Good eye for detail, color, and aesthetics.
- Ability to work at heights and in various physical positions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with decorative painting, faux finishes, or special coatings is a plus.
- Experience in commercial or luxury residential fit-outs.
- Certification in painting or relevant trade qualification (preferred but not mandatory).
