Production Manager – Joinery
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager – Joinery to oversee and manage all aspects of joinery production. The role involves planning, organizing, and supervising workshop operations to ensure projects are executed efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards. The Production Manager will lead a large team of foremen, supervisors, and carpenters, ensuring smooth workflow, resource optimization, and adherence to company policies and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the entire joinery production department, including planning, scheduling, and execution of production activities.
- Supervise foremen, chargehands, and carpenters to ensure efficient use of manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and production requirements; coordinate with design and project teams for clarifications.
- Ensure cutting lists, material take-offs, and shop drawings are prepared accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor daily production progress and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Implement and enforce strict quality control measures across all production stages.
- Optimize workflow to maximize efficiency and reduce wastage.
- Liaise with procurement, design, and project management teams to ensure smooth coordination.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations are implemented and followed in the workshop.
- Train, mentor, and develop the production team to enhance technical and managerial capabilities.
- Maintain detailed reports on production performance, manpower, and resource utilization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and competitiveness.
Requirements:
- 10–15 years of experience in joinery production, with at least 5 years in a managerial role in the UAE.
- Strong technical knowledge of joinery, carpentry, finishes, and related production processes.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale joinery workshops and teams.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and joinery shop drawings.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems and production planning tools.
