Position Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced QA/QC Manager with mandatory API 570 certification and with 10 years of experience, including a strong background in Iraq to oversee the quality assurance and quality control activities for a project in Basra. The successful candidate will ensure that all project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and compliance, covering the installation and commissioning of critical equipment such as compressors, pressure vessels, coolers, pump packages, control systems, and cabling.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive QA/QC plan for the project, ensuring adherence to both client specifications and international standards.
- Manage all quality control activities during the construction, installation, and commissioning phases, particularly concerning critical equipment such as compressors, pressure vessels, coolers, pump packages, and control systems.
- Supervise and coordinate all inspections, testing procedures, and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all quality-related activities, including inspection records, test results, and non-conformance reports.
- Provide regular quality reports to senior management.
- Ensure that all contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors meet the required quality standards.
- Conduct audits and inspections of their work to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Identify and address any non-conformances, ensuring prompt resolution through corrective and preventive actions.
- Work closely with engineering and construction teams to address any quality-related issues and ensure the smooth progression of the project.
- Ensure that all quality activities comply with Iraqi regulations, as well as relevant international standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Provide guidance and training to site personnel on QA/QC procedures and best practices, ensuring a culture of quality is maintained across the project.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- API 570 Certification.
Experience:
- 10 years of experience in QA/QC management, with significant experience in Iraq, particularly in the oil and gas sector.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of quality standards and codes, such as ISO 9001 and other relevant industry standards.
- Experience with quality management in projects involving compressors, pressure vessels, pump packages, and other complex oil and gas equipment.
- Proven track record of managing quality control in large-scale construction and installation projects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED18,350.00 - AED22,020.00 per month
