Our retail cashiers are responsible for welcoming customers on getting into a business organization and giving them information about products and services. Their role in a retail team may also include reserving goods at customer’s request, as well as controlling or checking the products being purchased. Senior Cashiers needs to engage in meaningful interactions with customers for resolving inquiries, receiving payments by cash, credit cards, or through payment modes on a daily basis. This may also involve neatly bagging or wrapping each of the customer’s purchases.
Functional Skills
- Processing sales transactions and taking payments.
- Answering customer questions about products or services and providing recommendations based on customer needs.
- Reconciling cash drawers and sales receipts
- Responding to and resolving customer complaints and concerns
- Processing returns and exchanges as per SOP’s.
- Ensure strict compliance in managing all financial transactions, admin related work and banking processes.
- Assisting in stocking and rotating merchandise at Cash tills & Q-rails
- Scanning and bagging items accurately and efficiently
- Staying up to date on merchandise promotions, advertisements, and product information
- Pro-active in establishing counter selling interactions and promotes POTM.
- Manages Q-rail & Counter Sales product replenishments.
- Assists common store visual merchandising readiness as per SOP’s & guidelines.

- Ability to calculate sales & change quickly.
- Accountability and accuracy in reconciling sales receipts and records.
- Service-oriented and willing to help customers.
- Customer service skills to maintain positive customer relationships, encourage customer loyalty and resolve conflicts.

- Attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory and transaction records.
- Knowledge of point-of-sale systems.
Education & Experience
- Should hold a high school Diploma / Degree.
- Should have a minimum of 3-5 years of retail experience or relevant.
