Overview:
As a Sales Associate, you will be the face of the brand, providing exceptional customer service, personalized fashion guidance, and supporting daily retail operations. This role is key in driving sales, enhancing the in-store experience, and contributing to overall store performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement & Styling:
- Welcome and assist customers, delivering personalized fashion advice based on individual style preferences.
- Build rapport to convert walk-ins into loyal customers.
- Stay current with fashion trends, product launches, and promotional campaigns.
- Promote the company’s loyalty program to enhance customer retention.
- Educate customers on product features, materials, usage, and care.
Sales & Operations:
- Support store goals through upselling, cross-selling, and achieving daily sales targets.
- Efficiently handle transactions via POS systems, including billing, refunds, and loyalty redemptions.
- Maintain accuracy in cash handling and shift reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with store security and loss prevention policies.
Merchandising & Store Presentation:
- Maintain visual merchandising standards in line with brand guidelines.
- Ensure the sales floor is replenished, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
- Participate in stock management, product tagging, and markdown activities.
- Accurately record inventory movement for incoming and outgoing stock.
Team Collaboration & Training:
- Work closely with team members to meet sales objectives and deliver an engaging shopping experience.
- Attend training sessions and team meetings to stay updated on brand and product knowledge.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold 6thStreet.com’s culture of good vibes and collaboration.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma acceptable with relevant experience.
- 1–2 years of retail sales experience, ideally in fashion or lifestyle.
- Strong fashion sense and awareness of current trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Energetic, well-groomed, and customer-focused with a positive attitude.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, shift-based retail environment (including weekends/holidays).
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills.
