About the Role:
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Supervisor to lead and expand our sales efforts within the project management and engineering consultancy sector in Dubai. The ideal candidate will not only identify new opportunities and drive prequalification and tender submissions but will also play an active role in converting leads into contracts, meeting sales targets, and strengthening client relationships. This role requires strong technical understanding, a well-established network within the UAE construction industry, and a proven ability to close deals.
Key Responsibilities:1. Market Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and qualify potential clients in the residential, commercial, mixed-use, and infrastructure sectors.
- Proactively generate and manage a consistent pipeline of business opportunities through research, networking, and outreach.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market trends, project pipelines, and industry movements in Dubai.
2. Sales Execution & Client Acquisition
- Present and promote the company’s consultancy and project management services to potential clients.
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and follow-ups to close new business opportunities.
- Develop tailored commercial proposals and negotiate terms to successfully secure contracts.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets as defined by management.
3. Tender & Proposal Management
- Lead the preparation and submission of prequalification documents, RFPs, EOIs, and proposals in coordination with internal teams.
- Collaborate with technical, design, planning, and cost control teams to ensure accurate and competitive submissions.
- Track tender portals and ensure timely and compliant responses.
4. Client Relationship & Account Management
- Act as the main point of contact for potential and existing clients from initial engagement through to contract signing.
- Build long-term relationships to support repeat business and referrals.
- Manage client records, communications, and opportunities using CRM tools.
5. Strategic Positioning & Branding Support
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking functions.
- Contribute to technical write-ups, case studies, and capability statements that showcase company strengths.
- Support marketing efforts where needed to strengthen the company’s visibility in the market.
6. Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide weekly/monthly reports on opportunities, client interactions, and closed deals.
- Track key sales and business development KPIs and propose improvements to boost win rates and client engagement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of proven experience in sales and business development within the engineering consultancy or project management sector in the UAE.
- Strong network with developers, consultants, and government authorities (e.g., Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, RTA, DEWA).
- Proven ability to generate leads and close contracts, ideally within the engineering/design/supervision domain.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM platforms, and proposal tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, RICS, or similar certifications in project management or consultancy.
- Experience with submissions to Dubai’s public and semi-government entities.
- Familiarity with local regulatory frameworks, building codes, and authority processes.
- Arabic language skills are a plus.
