Role Overview
The Scaffolding Supervisor oversees the planning, erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures. This role ensures all scaffolding operations comply with safety regulations and project specifications, while managing a team of scaffolders to maintain efficiency and safety on site2.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily scaffolding activities including assembly and dismantling
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations
- Plan scaffolding layouts based on project needs and blueprints
- Coordinate with site managers, engineers, and contractors
- Train and mentor scaffolding crew on safety and technical procedures
- Maintain inventory of scaffolding materials and equipment
- Prepare reports on inspections, incidents, and progress
- Resolve on-site issues related to scaffolding structures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (degree in construction management is a plus)
- Certification in scaffolding (e.g., CISRS Scaffolding Supervisor)
- Minimum 3–5 years of scaffolding experience, with supervisory background
- Strong understanding of safety standards and scaffolding systems
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
