We are seeking a skilled and passionate Seafood Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in preparing and presenting seafood dishes, excellent knowledge of seafood handling, and a creative approach to menu development.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present seafood dishes to the highest standard
- Ensure freshness and quality of all seafood products
- Follow proper storage, cleaning, and handling procedures for seafood
- Create new seafood recipes and contribute to menu planning
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen according to hygiene and safety standards
- Manage food cost, portion control, and reduce wastage
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff when needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a chef specializing in seafood (minimum 2–3 years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of seafood varieties, preparation techniques, and cooking styles
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Creativity and passion for delivering high-quality dishes
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Food safety and hygiene certification is a plus
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
