Job Title: Shop Assistant – Building Materials
Overview:
The Shop Assistant supports day-to-day retail operations, assisting customers with product selection, maintaining store presentation, and ensuring smooth sales transactions in the building materials sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in finding suitable building materials, tools, and related products.
- Provide accurate product information, pricing, and stock availability.
- Operate the cash register or POS system for sales transactions.
- Restock shelves and organize displays.
- Load and unload stock deliveries.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety on the shop floor.
- Participate in inventory checks and stock control.
- Collaborate with the sales team to deliver excellent customer service.
Requirements:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
