Job Description
Job Summary
As a Rider Communication & Engagement Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping how Talabat communicates with and engages its delivery rider community across the MENA region. You’ll contribute to content creation, campaign execution, and experience-enhancing initiatives that make our riders feel informed, appreciated, and connected. Working under the guidance of more senior team members, you will be empowered to take ownership of day-to-day deliverables and bring forward ideas that can improve rider communications and engagement across markets.
What's On Your Plate?
Content Development & Communication
- Develop clear, culturally relevant content in English and Arabic, and coordinate translations into Roman Urdu & Kurdish.
- Produce copy for in-app messages, SMS, social posts, video scripts, and newsletters tailored to rider needs and aligned with brand voice.
- Maintain a shared content bank and messaging templates for reuse across markets.
Campaign & Calendar Management
- Support execution of regional communication plans and campaigns aligned with seasonal and operational moments (e.g., Ramadan, Summer, Rider Appreciation).
- Manage assigned components of the rider communication calendar, including scheduling and stakeholder coordination.
Project & Campaign Coordination
- Lead end-to-end execution of specific rider campaigns or on-ground events under supervision.
- Prepare and manage project timelines, checklists, and stakeholder updates to ensure timely execution.
- Coordinate across operations, fleet partners, vendors, and design/marketing teams.
On-ground Engagement Support
- Assist in the rollout of on-ground activations (lounges, rest points, hydration drives, appreciation events).
- Coordinate logistics, inventory, and partner/vendor follow-ups.
Digital & Social Media
- Create and schedule content across rider-facing platforms (WhatsApp, Tweety, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook).
- Monitor content performance and community sentiment to inform future campaigns.
Budget Monitoring & Reporting
- Track expenses related to rider engagement campaigns and activations.
- Maintain budget trackers, process invoices, and coordinate with Finance for payment submissions.
- Support reporting on ROI, spend efficiency, and value delivered through each initiative.
- Flag potential over/under spends and recommend adjustments to ensure alignment with budget limits.
Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor campaign performance (reach, participation, sentiment) and document key learnings.
- Support post-campaign evaluations with data collection and field insights.
- Elevate rider feedback and local insights into program improvement suggestions.
Qualifications
What Did We Order?
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in content creation, communications, or copywriting—preferably in logistics, tech, or the gig-economy space
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Psychology, or a related field
- Native-level fluency in English and Arabic (written and verbal)
- Strong portfolio of content across multiple formats and purposes: crisis comms, campaign copy, platform-optimized posts, and educational materials
- Deep familiarity with digital tools and social media platforms; experience using them to deliver high-performing content
- Proven ability to manage content calendars and deliver high-quality work independently under tight deadlines
- Creative thinker with analytical skills to assess impact and continuously improve
- Self-starter mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
