Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Carbon Fibre Supervisor to oversee and lead a team in the preparation, repair, and installation of carbon fibre components for high-performance and luxury vehicles. The ideal candidate will ensure quality standards, efficiency, and safety while managing daily operations in the carbon fibre workshop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Production: Lead and coordinate the team in the fabrication, repair, and finishing of carbon fibre parts for automotive applications.
- Quality Control: Inspect carbon fibre components to ensure they meet design specifications, structural integrity, and aesthetic standards.
- Process Optimization: Improve manufacturing techniques to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain high-quality output.
- Team Management: Assign tasks, provide training, and monitor performance to ensure productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in carbon fibre layup, curing, trimming, and bonding processes.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce workplace safety regulations, including proper handling of resins, adhesives, and composite materials.
- Inventory & Equipment: Monitor material stock levels and ensure maintenance of tools, molds, and autoclaves.
- Collaboration: Work with engineers, designers, and other departments to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 3+ years in carbon fibre/composite manufacturing, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role (automotive industry preferred).
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in carbon fibre layup, vacuum bagging, curing, trimming, and surface finishing.
- Leadership: Strong team management and communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve production issues efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for precision and quality in composite work.
- Safety-Conscious: Knowledge of OSHA standards and hazardous material handling.
- Certification: Relevant technical certification or training in composites is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Workshop environment with exposure to resins, dust, and fumes (PPE provided).
- Hands-on role with occasional overtime to meet production deadlines.
