Join Our Automotive Team as a Tool Keeper – Workshop Inventory & Equipment Specialist!
Are you organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing tools and materials in a workshop setting? We are looking for a dedicated Tool Keeper to join our aftersales team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the issuance, inventory, maintenance, and safe keeping of all workshop tools, raw materials, and equipment—ensuring smooth operations and compliance within our automotive service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory of supplies, materials, and special service tools.
- Issue tools and supplies to service technicians using proper documentation (Materials & Supplies Requisition Slip).
- Maintain updated records of tools assigned to each technician.
- Ensure adequate stock of essential materials required for workshop operations.
- Coordinate with the purchasing department for ordering needed supplies.
- Monitor the condition of tools and arrange for replacements of damaged or worn-out items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the tool storage area.
- Perform regular inventory checks to track tool usage and availability.
- Support workshop operations by providing tools efficiently and accurately.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the Workshop Supervisor or immediate superior.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an automotive-related course.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role within a workshop or service environment.
- Languages: Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is preferred.
- Certifications/Training: Certifications in inventory or automotive systems are preferred.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in computer use for inventory tracking and internal communication.
- Equipment Knowledge: Familiar with telephone and computer systems; understanding of workshop tools and equipment is essential.
