WHAT YOU WILL DO
As the Head of Trade Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing the regional trade marketing strategy across CIS countries to drive brand visibility, optimize channel performance, and ensure alignment between marketing and sales functions. This role plays a key part in driving sustainable business growth, strengthening brand equity at the point of sale, and enhancing customer and shopper engagement across multiple trade channels.
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and lead the CIS trade marketing strategy in alignment with brand, commercial, and regional business objectives.
- Identify local market opportunities and translate brand marketing strategies into actionable trade plans.
- Drive channel development initiatives (Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, eCommerce, Pharmacy, etc.).
Execution & Activation
- Lead the planning and execution of in-store activations, product launches, and POSM deployment across the region.
- Ensure execution excellence of trade programs through close collaboration with local sales and distributor teams.
- Design and implement promotional calendars tailored to country-specific needs.
Performance Management
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing activities using data-driven insights.
- Own trade marketing KPIs, including ROI on trade spend, distribution expansion, and sell-out growth.
- Optimize the allocation of trade marketing budgets across countries and channels.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Act as a key liaison between marketing, sales, supply chain, and finance functions to ensure alignment of forecasts, inventories, and market needs.
- Support Sales and Key Account teams with customized trade solutions and customer presentations.
- Partner with regional teams to ensure consistent messaging and shopper experience across countries.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of Trade Marketing professionals in key CIS markets.
OUR PERFECT CANDIDATE
- University degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 8–10+ years of experience in Trade Marketing, preferably in the FMCG industry, with regional/multi-market responsibility.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful trade programs across diverse markets.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working with distributors, retailers, and cross-functional teams in CIS countries is a must.
- Fluent in Russian and English; other CIS languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel across the region (up to 30%).
