Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Veneer Sander to join our team in the yacht industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and sanding wood veneer surfaces to a high standard, ensuring a smooth, flawless finish suitable for luxury yacht interiors.
Responsibilities:
- Sand and prepare wood veneer surfaces for polishing and finishing.
- Use sanding machines and hand tools to achieve smooth, even surfaces.
- Inspect veneers for imperfections and ensure uniformity in surface finish.
- Work closely with carpentry and finishing teams to meet quality standards.
- Maintain sanding equipment and keep the work area clean.
- Follow safety guidelines and best practices in surface preparation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in veneer sanding, preferably in the yacht or high-end furniture industry.
- Excellent eye for detail and surface quality.
- Knowledge of sanding techniques and equipment.
- Understanding of wood materials, veneer types, and grain direction.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship.
