Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Facility Manager to oversee all building-related activities and ensure optimal functioning of our premises. The Facility Manager will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure, ensuring safety, managing maintenance schedules, vendor coordination, and supporting day-to-day facility operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the upkeep, maintenance, and cleanliness of the office, warehouse, and site facilities.
- Manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and other essential services.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
- Supervise and coordinate with housekeeping, security, and technical staff.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage budgets related to facility maintenance, repairs, and procurement.
- Negotiate contracts and supervise vendors/service providers for facility-related services.
- Monitor utilities and reduce energy and resource wastage.
- Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and breakdowns.
- Coordinate with departments to ensure space utilization and office requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience (5+ years) in facility or property management.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, safety codes, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in facility management software/tools is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in facility management (e.g., IFMA, FMP, or equivalent)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
- Good understanding of vendor and contract management.
