Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repairs:Handymen are responsible for fixing plumbing issues, repairing electrical systems, addressing HVAC problems, and performing general upkeep and repairs on equipment, furniture, doors, and windows.
- Installation:They install fixtures like shelves, curtains, and cabinets, and may also be involved in tasks like lighting installation and basic landscaping.
- General Upkeep:This includes cleaning facilities, painting, filling gaps, and undertaking light carpentry work.
- Problem Solving:Handymen need to be able to identify maintenance and repair needs, assess situations, and determine the best course of action.
- Communication and Reporting:They need to communicate effectively with clients or supervisors about the work needed and any potential issues.
