Mission:
Directly reporting to the Regional MEA Logistics Manager, the Transport – Intern performs daily Transport operations and Customs activities.
Effective communication and coordination with the brands operational teams to ensure full alignment of logistic operations with their needs will be another key duty of the role.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in scheduling and tracking shipments.
- Coordinating with transport providers and warehouse staff.
- Monitoring delivery status and ensuring timely dispatch and receipt.
- Preparing shipping documents such as bills of lading, delivery notes, and invoices.
- Maintaining records of transport operations
- Assisting in compiling daily, weekly, or monthly transport reports.
- Supporting the update of transportation schedules and inventory movement.
- Communicating with freight forwarders, transport vendors, and internal teams.
- Assisting in resolving delays, discrepancies, or transport-related issues.
- Ensuring adherence to transportation laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Supporting documentation for audits or inspections as required.
- Assisting in tracking transport costs and helping to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensuring invoice verification and freight billing processes.
- Supporting transport team members with day-to-day tasks.
What We're Looking for
- Working knowledge on Microsoft excel to intermediate or advanced level is mandatory
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders
- Basic understanding of transportation and logistics processes.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail when handling data and documents.
- Ability to think quickly and resolve basic transport/logistics issues.
- Pro-active approach in finding innovative solutions
- Ability and willingness to work in rotating shifts, including also weekend/national holiday coverage
- Fresh graduate or with 1 or 2 years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
