Majid Al Futtaim is building one of the largest analytics team in the region to support its analytics transformation. We have already progressed well on this agenda by creating the region’s largest data footprint, launching multiple analytics initiatives with many of these experiments turning into Industry 1st Analytics product portfolio to scale impact through analytics and serve future monetization goals
Data is vital to the way that we design products and user experience at Majid al Futtaim. We collect detailed logs and time series from millions of page views, smart city sensors, beacons and more. Ultimately, we intend to collect data from millions of devices daily (structured and unstructured) and to perform advanced analysis on massive streams of information.
We are looking for an Analytics Product Manager to bring our data products and engines to fruition and drive business success. You will join a small but growing team that provides data, frameworks, and insights to the organization and leads innovative product initiatives from the front. You will work closely with a high energy team consisting of data scientists, data engineers, data analysts, business functions such as customer experience, digital, F&B, marketing, Operations, Finance, Pricing, Human Capital on some of the newest and most interesting Big & Fast Data problems in the entertainment space.
Currently, the Leisure Entertainment and Cinemas Analytics unit continues to be in a start-up mode and is growing quickly. As a futuristic start up division in a big organization, the team members are given the latitude to shape the journey of the team and bring success to fruition. This role is a good fit for someone who is interested in the intersection of strong product, tech and business combined with an established track record of building data products that serve internal and external customers

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Define data and analytics strategy for analytics products and co-responsible for PnL for analytics products with business
  • Bridge the data team(data scientists, analyst, engineers) with product & business teams, ensuring the best data solution for Product Improvement and end customer success
  • Develop product roadmaps in alignment with business goals with defined product features and process automation with critical goal of scaling impact
  • Establish and conduct the right governance process to facilitate effective working process for internal team and high quality of products (setting team structure, checkpoints, guidelines)
  • Strong helicopter overview of product performance, reusability and benchmarking across the industry
  • Work with Central execution and strategy teams to drive the MAF vision for cross-industry products
  • Co-own product vision and growth strategy with key business stakeholders and drive business KPIs
  • Be responsible for supporting and conducting pre and post launch test and measurement to inform future roadmap for product
  • Responsible for setting strategies, market opportunity, benchmarking and modularizing product components to serve future monetization goals

  • Achieving data & analytics revenue KPIs for Analytics Products 2021
  • Achieving the revenue and KPI targets for data products
  • Adhere to timelines, internal alignment and project management
  • Evangelize data products and usage across the organization
  • Strong facilitator to collaborate across tech and business teams with key focus on customer
  • Efficiency and process orientation focused on reusability and reproducibility
  • Drive and design future monetization strategy for key data products


Functional/Technical Competencies

  • 5-7 years of experience in data analytics and data science (Segmentation, CLV, forecasting, optimization, pricing, forecasting, data monetization)
  • Strong strategic aptitude: ability to define and measure success across data driven initiatives
  • Experienced in building data and analytics product for cross-industry use
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, dashboarding and reporting, involving datasets and multiple data sources.
  • Experience with analytical tools supporting data evaluation and reporting, as well as querying large, complex data sets (Tableau, Power BI, SQL, R, Python etc.)
  • Demonstrated use of analytics, metrics, and benchmarking to drive decisions
  • Hands on experience with A/B testing, statistical analysis, and/or insights.
  • Highly analytical, with a track record of being a strong problem solver; capable of translating data into meaningful analysis and insights, presenting to business stakeholders, and driving value for the business. Ability to see the big picture and to focus on details when necessary.
  • Proven track record of agile and organizational skills, with an ability to conduct prints, brain storming, problem solving and writing user stories.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to people from other fields

Minimum Qualifications/education
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), or Economics. Advanced degree in related topic is a strong plus
  • Background or previous experience in analytics
  • Built analytics products across pricing, marketing, optimization, operations
