We are looking for a Research Analyst – Fixed Income to join our team in Saudi Arabia.

The Research Analyst will support the implementation of our investment process and assist in the management of day-to-day operations of portfolios and products focused on the sovereign and corporate bond markets of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) as well as the Global Sukuk market.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?

  • Execute trades and orders for the portfolio, ensuring relationships are maintained with sell-side counterparties and internal trading desks to ensure best execution services

  • Support the day-to-day operational management of portfolios in conjunction with support teams

  • Daily monitoring and management of portfolio risks and other parameters as defined under the investment process and within appropriate risk tolerances and constraints

  • Perform detailed portfolio performance attribution and risk analysis in conjunction with support from the Performance Analysis & Investment Risk (PAIR) group

  • Support the team’s investment process through participation in research calls and contributing to formulating macro and micro views

  • Generate trade ideas for the wide range of portfolios under management that include unconstraint portfolios, investment grade portfolios as well as money market strategies

  • Conduct occasional research requests from PM

What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?

  • CFA Charterholder or relevant postgraduate qualification

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in financial services, preferably with a background in trading or fixed income markets

  • Strong interest in market dynamics and industry trends

  • Understanding of quantitative and qualitative research concepts and tools. Specifically bond math and proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Strong critical thinking and analysis skills

  • Communicates well with people at all levels

  • High level of intelligence and business acumen; intellectually grounded

  • Committed to learning and sharing insights with team

  • High level of personal integrity

  • Exhibits a high level of energy

  • Ability to work with great accuracy under pressure

  • Knowledge of Arabic is a plus
