The Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial health and reporting of the company. This includes managing the accounting team, preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and supporting business strategy through financial insights. The role is vital in monitoring cash flows, cost control, budgeting, and facilitating investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Monitor project-wise cost tracking, budget allocation, and profitability analysis for development projects.
- Coordinate and manage audits (internal and external) and liaise with auditors.
- Ensure VAT compliance, timely submission of returns, and handle any tax-related queries.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accountants and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare cash flow projections, manage working capital, and monitor collections from clients.
- Assist in financial planning, forecasting, and strategy development for real estate projects.
- Maintain banking relationships and manage financing documentation and facilities.
- Review and approve payments to contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Support due diligence and feasibility analysis for new developments or investments.
- Keep up-to-date with financial regulations, trends, and practices specific to the UAE and real estate sector.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or CPA/ACCA preferred).
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within real estate or construction industry in the UAE.
- Strong understanding of UAE accounting standards, IFRS, VAT regulations, and real estate-specific financial processes.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, ERP systems like Oracle, SAP, or Zoho).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with escrow accounts and RERA reporting.
- Knowledge of property management accounting and project accounting.
- Bilingual (English and Arabic) is a plus.
