Duties and Responsibilities
- Picking up and delivering various items, such as food, documents, or packages, to designated locations.
- Determining the most efficient routes for deliveries to minimize travel time and ensure timely arrival.
- Ensuring that packages are securely handled and protected from damage during transit.
- Maintaining clear communication with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that arise.
- Collecting payments from recipients when required.
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and any other relevant information.
- Ensuring that vehicles have sufficient gas and are always ready for use.
Driver Requirements / Skills / Qualifications
Driver job description should include these common skills and qualifications:
- A high school diploma
- Proven experience as a Driver
- A valid driver’s license
- A clean driving record
- Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)
- Familiarity with GPS devices
- Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
- Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
- Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
- A polite and professional disposition
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
License/Certification:
- Valid UAE driving license (Preferred)
