- A Breakfast Chef prepares and cooks breakfast dishes for hotel guests or customers, maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation.
- Key responsibilities include managing the breakfast service, monitoring and controlling food stock and waste, maintaining a clean kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations, and assisting with menu development.
- They must also work efficiently as part of a team to provide a memorable breakfast experience.
- Create a variety of breakfast items, including hot and cold dishes, pastries, and continental options.
- Adhere to recipes and quality standards for consistent dishes and presentation.
- Set up, replenish, and maintain a fresh and varied breakfast to meet guest demand.
- Prepare dishes according to menu specifications and accommodate special guest requests or dietary needs.
- Keep the kitchen, equipment, and work stations clean, organized, and hygienic at all times.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations and standards.
- Monitor food stock, ensure proper storage, and implement methods to minimize food waste.
- Work effectively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth and efficient breakfast service.
- Communicate clearly and politely with team members, management, and customers.
- Forward customer suggestions or complaints to management for resolution.
- Contribute to menu planning by suggesting new dishes, seasonal items, or enhancements to the breakfast experience.
- Assist with ordering supplies, monitoring inventory, and checking early morning deliveries.
- Assist with other kitchen departments or special events as needed.
- Follow company procedures, manage costs, and complete any administrative tasks assigned by management.
- A well experienced in making a salad and responsible for the design, preparation, and presentation of cold dishes, especially salads, ensuring ingredient freshness.
