The Business Development Representative (BDR) will be responsible for driving nCino market share to new business entities and channels. The BDR is an entrepreneur leading sales growth through pipeline generation primarily through Cold Calling Campaigns, Social Selling and some lead follow up. The BDR will also attend events which nCino are sponsoring to generate leads as required. The BDR will be aligned to an Account Executive (AE) working in a team of two with the BDR responsible for the teams pipeline generation strategy allowing the AE to focus their time on progressing opportunities through the Sales Cycle. The role reports to VP Sales with a strong alignment to Marketing Director, EMEA.
Responsibilities:
- Prospecting, lead generation, business development and scheduling discovery calls and demonstrations for Regional Sales Directors. Discovering new leads through internet research and social media. We utilize industry best lead tools which increase conversion rates as every stage of the process
- Making 40+ outbound phone calls each day
- Driving appointments through lead follow-up, response to inquiries and inbound activities.
- Making a collaborative effort with regional sales to win new opportunities and grow the business.
- Tracking and managing prospects through our CRM System (Salesforce.com)
- Meeting and exceeding monthly quota.
- Participate in team meetings, networking, tradeshow events, and activities to grow the business
- Manage a prospect base consisting of specific target accounts in assigned territory
- Responsible for providing reports on all business development activities
- Proactively follow up on webinars, tradeshows, and other marketing campaigns
- Assisting marketing in the development and execution of campaigns
- Executing creative lead generation telemarketing activities within the defined territory to increase awareness and interest in nCino’s platform
- Ability to initiate the first phase of the sales cycle, create awareness, interest and the need that can lead to a successful sale
- Ability to speak with high level executives about their challenges and the need for nCino solutions
- Ability to overcome objections and effectively articulate a business message
- Entrepreneurial mentality able to take ownership of the territory and maintain the activity required to exceed target
- Ability to prospect from the data in Salesforce.com, LeadIQ or Linkedin Navigator, network accounts and identify key stakeholders with a need for nCino’s solution
Competencies & Skills:
- 1-2 years experience working for a software company in a business development capacity
- Sales experience against quota / sales objectives
- Ability to think on your feet in a conversation and answer unexpected questions with ease
- A go-getter attitude. ‘No’ doesn’t stop you- it only makes you think of other ways to go for the ‘Yes’
- Highly organized and able to adapt to changing priorities
- Passion for building relationships and cultivating partnerships
- Excellent communication, listening, presentation, and writing skills
- Social Media, Networking and Prospecting experience
- Independent working and decision making skills
- Positive, Results Oriented and Collaborative attitude
- Proficient in MS Office(Word, Excel, Power Point) and Salesforce.com
- Project management approach to territory and business development
Qualifications and Experience

- Degree Level or Equivalent
Languages
- Business level English mandatory
- Other languages relevant to territory
Experience (technical, commercial, industry / product / functional expertise, etc.)
- 5 Years experience in a Business Development Capacity in the Hi-Tech space
- Previous experience working within a FinTech
- Previous user of DemandGen Tech Stack an advantage
