Role Overview:
The CAFM & Solutions Manager will act as the strategic link between business operations and IT, playing a pivotal role in driving digital transformation across iFM. This role is responsible for overseeing IT systems and infrastructure, leading technology-driven initiatives, managing CAFM implementation and optimization, and ensuring robust IT support across all user touchpoints. The incumbent will align IT strategies with business goals while ensuring smooth, secure and cost-effective IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of CAFM strategies and digital transformation roadmaps across iFM.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in CAFM and business systems aligned with organizational goals.
- Partner with business units to identify automation opportunities and recommend scalable digital solutions.
- Manage the implementation, integration, and optimization of business-critical systems including CAFM, ERP and document management systems.
- Evaluate the existing CAFM system and introduce necessary enhancements.
- Oversee end-to-end CAFM projects – scoping, vendor selection, budgeting, execution, change management and post-implementation review.
- Facilitate user training, change adoption workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions for new technology rollouts.
- Oversee Client support services ensuring timely resolution of issues, system uptime and user satisfaction.
- Work on developing CAFM and solutions for external clients.
- Establish policies and procedures for system access, data security, backups and disaster recovery.
- Ensure optimal performance and maintenance of networks, servers, hardware, communication systems and cloud services.
- Coordinate installation and support of infrastructure at project sites in collaboration with FM/Asset Ops.
- Manage relationships with CAFM system vendors, consultants and service providers to ensure high-quality service and cost efficiency.
- Review, negotiate and finalize service agreements, support contracts and license renewals.
- Evaluate and compare quotations for hardware/software procurement and ensure alignment with budget and standards.
- Monitor and enforce security protocols, data protection policies and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO, GDPR, UAE laws).
- Regularly audit software licenses, subscriptions and renewals to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance.
- Ensure integration and interoperability of CAFM systems across service lines, operational sites, and client portfolios.
- Provide leadership and oversight for all infrastructure including network architecture, servers, storage, and backup systems.
- Ensure proper configuration and functioning of hardware/software assets at all facilities and project sites.
- Prepare ad-hoc and scheduled reports as requested by Management, including cost analysis, system performance and vendor comparisons.
- Undertake additional responsibilities or special projects as assigned by the line manager, based on evolving business needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field.
- Master’s degree or certifications such as PMP, ITIL or Microsoft/AWS/Azure are a plus.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in CAFM leadership or business partner role, preferably in Facilities Management, Real Estate or Asset Management.
- Proven experience managing enterprise systems such as CAFM, ERP, Microsoft 365, and cloud-based platforms.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, network administration, cybersecurity and digital workflows.
- Experience in managing vendor contracts, CAFM budgeting and asset management.
