Job Title: Construction Timekeeper
Location: Dubai, UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily attendance of all site personnel (staff and laborers) using manual logs or biometric systems.
- Monitor and document in/out timings, overtime hours, and shift schedules.
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly attendance and manpower reports to HR and site management.
- Coordinate with supervisors and foremen to verify actual hours worked and report any discrepancies.
- Ensure time sheets and attendance logs are properly filed and archived.
- Assist HR and payroll departments with necessary documentation for salary processing.
- Keep track of employee leaves, absences, and approved time off.
- Support compliance with labor laws and internal timekeeping policies.
- Report any irregularities or absenteeism to site management promptly.
- Monitor and report subcontractor manpower when applicable.
- Assist during audits by providing attendance records and documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in timekeeping or administration is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a construction or project-based environment.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Knowledge of basic labor and timekeeping laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with timekeeping software and systems (e.g., biometric systems, Excel).
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced site environment.
- Integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
Work Conditions:
- Based at the construction site; may require early reporting hours and long shifts depending on project requirements.
- May involve outdoor work and exposure to construction site conditions.
