JOB PURPOSE
Engineering Solutions Design: Implement feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions, under supervision, to provide feedback and contribute to validation of the design.
Engineering Drawings: Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to create engineering drawings for the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions.
Testing: Develop testing standards and procedures under the direction of professional colleagues
Product and Solution Development: Support others by carrying out a range of product development and engineering activities, such as analysing client situations or interpreting data.
Solutions Analysis: Find the most effective ways to respond to routine functional inquiries. Involves following procedures and precedents.
Operational Compliance | Quality Assurance: Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
Data Collection and Analysis: Extract relevant data from information provided by others, and input it into spreadsheets or standard formats.
Span of Communication
- Internal: General Manager Machinery, All Machinery Team Members; FPI Operating units.
- External: Manufacturer team.

- Identify all practicable drawings options and decide on the best one.
Skills
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
Preferred Experience:
- DME 2-3 years of experience in Machinery Design BME Experience not required.
Job-Specific Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical design principles, including statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment is an added advantage.
- Professional certification in mechanical design or a related field is an added advantage.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadlinedriven environment.
