We're Hiring – Electrical Draughtsman
Are you a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Draughtsman with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in the UAE? We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Draughtsman to support our engineering team in producing accurate, code-compliant electrical drawings for power distribution, earthing, lighting, and control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD for HV/LV systems, earthing & lightning protection, cable routing, and power distribution.
- Develop single-line diagrams (SLDs), layout plans, installation details, and as-built drawings.
- Coordinate with electrical engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure design accuracy and constructability.
- Review and interpret client specifications, technical standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC), and project requirements.
- Work with drawing sets including earthing layouts, lightning protection, switchgear arrangements, and generator installations.
- Ensure compliance with TAQA regulations, ADNOC standards, and other local authority requirements.
- Update and maintain drawing revisions in line with project progress and site changes.
- Support HSE compliance by incorporating safety requirements into design documentation.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in electrical drafting within the UAE construction or oil & gas sector.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential); experience with Revit MEP or BIM is a plus.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems , including earthing, lightning protection, cable sizing, and protection schemes.
- Familiarity with ADNOC EPCM projects , ASME , IEC , and NEC standards .
- Experience working with drawing references such as:
- Earthing & Lightning Layouts (e.g., P11643-11-77-59-1616 series)
- Overall Cable Routing (11-77-59-1602)
- Electrical Design Basis (11-99-87-D601)
- Ability to read and produce as-built drawings and work under tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
