Job Description
- Review construction plans and prepare quantity requirements
- Scrutinize maintenance and material costs
- Liaise with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors
- Prepare reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, and risk assessments
- Advise managers and clients on improvements and new strategies
- Manage materials and track inventory
- Document design changes and update budgets
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders
- Travel to various sites as required
Specific Responsibilities
- Review tender documents and perform quantity take-offs
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender proposals
- Conduct value engineering exercises and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Participate in internal tender review meetings and support management with pricing strategies
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Professional certifications like MRICS or RICS preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying
- Proficiency in advanced estimating software like CostX or Bluebeam
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Proven problem-solving skills
