Head of Category – Forex Trading
Location: Dubai, UAE
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Category – Forex Trading to lead our trading operations in Dubai. The successful candidate will oversee the firm’s day-to-day activities, ensure regulatory compliance with the Securities & Commodities Authority (SCA), and drive profitability and growth across our forex trading category.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and act as the link between senior management, regulators, and key control functions.
- Develop and implement annual Business Plans, including growth strategies and performance reviews.
- Lead and mentor employees, ensuring alignment with the Firm’s vision and SCA regulations.
- Supervise trading activities, optimize P&L performance, and manage forex products and spreads.
- Ensure responsibilities and segregation of duties across the organization are clearly defined.
- Maintain the Firm’s organizational chart and clear reporting lines.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, liquidity providers, business partners, and regulators.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with SCA Rules and legislation.
- Provide timely updates and reports to the Board of Directors.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Economics, or Business (CFA/FRM is an advantage).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in forex trading/financial services with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of FX markets, trading platforms (MT4, MT5, Bloomberg, Refinitiv), and derivatives.
- In-depth understanding of UAE SCA regulations.
- Proven ability to manage P&L, implement strategies, and lead cross-functional teams.
