Job Title: IT Technician – Autonomous Container Terminal Support (with Valid UAE Driving License)

About the Role:
We are seeking an IT Technician with a valid UAE driving license to join our team, specializing in the maintenance and operation of IT systems for driverless container terminal trucks (e.g., Qomolo autonomous vehicles). The role involves ensuring seamless IT operations for autonomous vehicle fleets, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and providing on-site support across port terminals and logistics hubs
Key Responsibilities:
Hardware & Software Support:
- Install, configure, and maintain IT systems supporting autonomous vehicles, including onboard computers, sensors (LiDAR, radar), and networking equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues related to vehicle control systems, 3D SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), and sensor fusion technologies
Network & Security:
- Manage network infrastructure for vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communication, ensuring low-latency connectivity for real-time decision-making 1721.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols for autonomous fleets to prevent breaches
On-Site & Remote Support:
- Travel to port terminals (e.g., Khalifa port Jebel Ali, Hutchison Ports) for hands-on troubleshooting of ITV (Internal Terminal Vehicle) systems.
- Collaborate with AI/autonomy teams to resolve software glitches in DGWorld-like control systems
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain logs of IT assets, software updates, and incident reports for regulatory audits .
- Ensure compliance with port safety standards and RTA regulations for autonomous operations
User Training:
- Train staff on IT interfaces for monitoring autonomous vehicle performance (e.g., WellOcean/Westwell platforms)
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Windows OS, Linux, and networking (TCP/IP, VLANs).
- Experience with IoT devices, GNSS/INS sensors (e.g., Xsens MTi-Series), and industrial PCs.
- Knowledge of AI/autonomy software (a plus) .
Certifications:
- CompTIA A+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified (preferred).
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving ability for high-stakes port environments.
- Valid UAE driving license (mandatory)
