Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Joinery Draughtsman with a minimum of 4 years in the joinery or bespoke furniture industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality, accurate technical drawings and shop drawings for custom joinery and interior fit-out projects. You will play a key role in translating client and design briefs into practical manufacturing drawings, coordinating closely with the production and design teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed joinery shop drawings based on architectural and interior design plans.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications, ensuring they align with client requirements and production capabilities.
- Create accurate cutting lists, material take-offs, and assembly details for manufacturing.
- Liaise with architects, interior designers, and project managers to resolve technical issues and incorporate design changes.
- Coordinate with the workshop and site teams to ensure drawings are executed correctly and on time.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and company quality requirements.
- Update drawings and documents in response to project changes or site conditions.
- Maintain and manage drawing records and revision histories.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years’ proven experience as a Joinery Draughtsman in a manufacturing or fit-out environment.
- Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with other design software (SketchUp, Revit, or Inventor) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of joinery construction methods, materials, and hardware.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with high-end bespoke joinery or fit-out projects.
