Logistics Assistant
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Logistics Assistant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the import processes, negotiating with suppliers and carriers, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods across international borders. This position requires a strong understanding of logistics, international trade regulations, and effective negotiation skills. Proven Experience in working with Trading and Manufacturing company as a Logistics Assistant preferably Tiles and Sanitarywares
Responsibilities:
Import and Export Management:
· Coordinate and manage the end-to-end import and export processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
· Oversee the preparation and submission of necessary documentation for customs clearance.
· Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to optimize shipping and transportation processes.
Negotiations:
· Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, carriers, and logistics service providers.
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure cost-effective and reliable logistics solutions.
· Analyze and evaluate supplier performance to drive continuous improvement.
Compliance:
· Stay updated on international trade regulations, tariffs, and customs requirements.
· Ensure adherence to import/export compliance standards and resolve any issues promptly.
· Implement and maintain policies and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure legal compliance.
Cost Management:
· Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize logistics expenses.
· Conduct regular cost analysis and provide recommendations for improving efficiency.
Supply Chain Visibility:
· Develop and implement systems to provide real-time visibility into the supply chain.
· Monitor and track shipments, providing timely updates to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
· Strong knowledge of customs regulations, trade compliance, and transportation management.
· Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
· Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
· Familiarity with ERP systems and logistics software.
· Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
· Problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Have good knowledge about MOFAIC Attestation, Container tracking in Dubai trade, Delivery Order collection, Bill of Entry Process , Customs clearance procedure for Tiles and Sanitary wares
