Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mason to perform bricklaying, block work, plastering, and other masonry tasks for various construction projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in masonry techniques, a strong understanding of construction materials, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stones, and other materials to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches, and structures.
- Mix mortar, cement, and other materials as required.
- Perform plastering, tiling, and related finishing tasks.
- Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and blueprints.
- Measure, cut, and shape materials to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Repair and maintain existing masonry structures.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Collaborate with other construction workers, foremen, and engineers to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mason in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of various masonry materials, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to work from blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor.
- Attention to detail and craftsmanship skills.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Technical training or certification in masonry is an advantage.
