The Membership and Growth Manager is responsible for driving MEFMA’s overall growth, focusing on membership and sponsorship sales while establishing and nurturing long-term relationships with MEFMA’s audience, including members, sponsors, and partners. This role is key to achieving financial targets, developing growth strategies, and enhancing MEFMA's reach through proactive efforts, efficient collections, and expanding a strong professional network.
In addition, the Membership and Growth Manager will manage and oversee MEFMA's new initiatives and programs, ensuring they drive growth and align with the organizational goals.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, results-oriented individual with exceptional sales and relationship management skills. A dynamic, resourceful, and well-connected personality is essential to effectively engage with and build meaningful interactions within the industry.
This position requires regular travel to foster regional connections by attending meetings, events, conferences, workshops, etc.
An ownership mentality, flexibility, and a positive, can-do attitude are fundamental for all MEFMA team members, as each serves as an ambassador for MEFMA to members, vendors, and industry stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities
Membership Growth & Acquisition
Manage all aspects of the membership program, including new member acquisitions, renewals, membership packages, communication, and database management.
Develop and implement a comprehensive membership strategy to identify, attract, and retain members.
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote MEFMA membership and communicate its value proposition effectively.
Relationship Building & Retention
Cultivate strong relationships with current members, engaging regularly to understand their needs, address concerns, and ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
Establish new connections and strategic collaborations with government entities, associations, institutions, and key industry stakeholders
Sponsorship Acquisition
Actively work towards expanding the scale of MEFMA events and other activities by identifying, approaching, and securing potential sponsors.
Financial Growth & Reporting
Contribute to revenue growth through membership expansion and sponsorship sales.
Collaborate in the development of budgets and forecasts for membership and sponsorship revenues.
Provide regular reports on membership and sales performance
New Initiatives & Programs
Manage and oversee the development, launch, and execution of new initiatives and programs within MEFMA, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.
Monitor and assess the impact of these initiatives and programs to ensure they contribute to MEFMA’s overall growth and goals.
Others
Develop in-depth knowledge about business development practices, prospective members, and industry trends.
Travel and represent MEFMA regionally in events, workshops, conferences, meetings, etc
Other duties as required and assigned by the Executive Director
