The MEP Draughtsman is responsible for preparing detailed shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination layouts for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. The role ensures accuracy, compliance with project specifications, and coordination among different disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare MEP shop drawings (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire-fighting, electrical, and low-current systems) as per project requirements.
- Develop coordination drawings to resolve clashes among MEP services and with structural/architectural elements.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Assist engineers in design modifications and technical detailing.
- Prepare as-built drawings after completion of site works.
- Maintain and update drawing logs, revisions, and document control as per company standards.
- Coordinate with engineers, site teams, and consultants for drawing approvals.
- Use software AutoCAD to produce accurate and efficient drawings.
