F&B Operations Manager

Job Summary:
The F&B Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets, ensuring high standards of service, quality, hygiene, and profitability. This role requires strong leadership, operational efficiency, team management, and customer satisfaction expertise.
Key Responsibilities:Operations Management:
- Supervise and coordinate daily F&B operations (restaurants, lounges, cafes, bars, catering).
- Ensure consistent service excellence, food quality, and guest experience.
- Monitor inventory, supplies, and food/beverage costs to ensure optimal control.
- Maintain compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
Staff Management:
- Lead, train, and motivate F&B teams including supervisors, chefs, and service staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations, manage to schedule, and implement disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Identify staff development needs and support ongoing training programs.
Financial Management:
- Achieve sales and profitability targets by optimizing operations and controlling expenses.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L statements for F&B departments.
- Implement cost-saving and revenue-enhancing strategies.
Customer Service & Experience:
- Ensure exceptional guest service is delivered consistently across all F&B touchpoints.
- Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally and promptly.
Menu Development & Promotions:
- Collaborate with chefs and marketing teams on menu updates, seasonal offerings, and promotions.
- Analyze sales trends to identify customer preferences and improve offerings.
Compliance & Standards:
- Ensure adherence to company policies, HACCP, and local government regulations.
- Maintain operational SOPs and enforce brand standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in F&B operations, including 2+ years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in restaurant or hotel F&B management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of POS systems, inventory software, and MS Office.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and lead a diverse team.
Preferred Experience:
- Exposure to multi-unit F&B operations.
- Experience in fine dining, casual dining, and/or quick service environments.
- Background in hospitality groups with multiple F&B concepts is a plus.
