Production Manager – Fashion FactoryWhat the Role Is
You manage the making of clothes in a factory. You make sure work runs smoothly, on time, within budget, and at a high quality.
What You Will Do
- Plan and Organize
- Create production schedules so everyone knows what to do and when.
- Make sure workers, materials, and equipment are ready and available.
- Maintain Quality
- Check clothes at each stage—cutting, sewing, finishing—and fix problems fast.
- Manage Costs
- Keep track of spending and work within a budget.
- Talk with suppliers to get good prices and materials delivered on time.
- Lead the Team
- Guide, train, and support workers to help them do their best.
- Work with Other Teams
- Coordinate with design, sales, shipping, and other teams to deliver on time.
- Solve Problems
- Find and fix production delays or quality issues quickly.
- Follow Safety Rules
- Keep the workplace safe and follow any labor laws or guidelines.
- Keep Records
- Track what has been made, how much, and when.
- Report the production status to your managers.
What You Need
- Real experience in making clothes—like cutting, sewing, and finishing (general factory know-how).
- Experience managing a small team or solving daily work issues.
- Skills to manage time, budgets, and supplier talks effectively.
- Clear communication and good leadership.
- Care for safety and rules in the factory.
(Bonus): Experience using factory tools or software, or with planning systems.
