A Real Estate Agent (also known as Property Consultant or Realtor) serves as a liaison between buyers, sellers, and renters. You will guide clients through the full property transaction lifecycle—leveraging your local market knowledge, negotiation skills, and network to ensure client satisfaction and successful deals.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Advisory
- Meet with clients to assess requirements, price range, and preferences.
- Advise on market trends, financing, and timing to support informed decisions.
Property Research & Valuation
- Compile and analyze property listings, comparables, and market data.
- Conduct comparative market analyses to determine accurate pricing.
Marketing & Promotion
- Create listing materials including property descriptions, photography, and virtual tours.
- Promote listings through MLS platforms, social media, and open houses.
Showings & Tours
- Schedule and lead property showings, emphasizing key features and local amenities.
Negotiation & Contracts
- Present and negotiate offers in alignment with client objectives.
- Draft and review purchase agreements, disclosures, leases, and related documents.
Transaction Management
- Coordinate appraisals, inspections, escrow, title work, and closings.
- Maintain clear communication with all involved parties (buyers, sellers, lenders, inspectors, attorneys).
Networking & Lead Generation
- Build and maintain a network of professionals, including mortgage brokers, contractors, and attorneys.
- Use CRM tools to manage leads, follow-ups, and referrals.
Business Administration
- Manage client communications, schedules, and documentation.
- Use relevant software for listings, CRM, and transaction tracking.
Client Support & Guidance
- Educate clients about the process, set realistic expectations, and provide support throughout the buying or selling journey.
Qualifications & Skills
Licensing & Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business, marketing, or sales is a plus.
- Must possess a valid real estate license as required by the local jurisdiction.
- Ongoing professional development and continuing education as required.
Experience
- Demonstrated success in closing real estate transactions.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, listing databases, and marketing platforms.
