Position: Quantity Surveyor Engineer
Location: United Arab Emirates (UAE)
Industry: Steel & Aluminium Fabrication | Tents & Tensile Shade Structures | Civil & Structural Construction
Salary: AED 2,000 – 3,500/month
Experience Required: 1-3 years in QS in steel/tensile/fabrication industries
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
- Experience: Hands-on experience in quantity surveying preferably in structural steel and tensile projects.
- Attestation: Educational certificates should be attested by MOFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
Core Skills Required:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and quotations.
- Evaluate tender documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare competitive bids.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for price quotations and negotiations.
- Monitor project budgets and control costs during execution.
- Assist in contract preparation and variations.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify quantities.
- Prepare cost and material reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety requirements.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office (Excel, Word), and Quantity Surveying software.
- Knowledge of construction drawings, BOQ preparation, and tendering process.
- Familiarity with structural steel and fabric materials is an advantage.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Team player with a proactive approach.
