About the Role:
We are a marine shipping company seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Secretary to support our Procurement Department. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in procurement or purchasing, and be well-versed in handling documentation, follow-ups, and coordination within a busy procurement environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Procurement Manager and team with day-to-day operations
- Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, and vendor files
- Follow up with suppliers for quotations, deliveries, and invoices
- Coordinate internal requests and ensure proper documentation flow
- Update inventory and purchasing data in the procurement system
- Prepare reports and support audits as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure timely execution of procurement-related tasks
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in procurement or purchasing
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with procurement or inventory systems is a plus
- Ability to handle multitasking and deadlines
- Must be available to join immediately
