Job Summary
The Social Media Executive will be responsible for planning, creating, executing, and optimizing digital content across social media, websites, and email marketing platforms. This role requires strong copywriting skills, creative thinking, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously across a busy events calendar. The position also includes WordPress content management and coordination with an outsourced web team. The Social Media Executive will report directly to the Sr. Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Management
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter/X)
Manage and grow all social media accounts, tailoring content for each platform and event
Use Metricool to schedule, monitor, and analyze social media activity
Stay current with social media trends, algorithm changes, and platform innovations
Content Creation & Branding
Write engaging and SEO-friendly content for social media posts, blogs, newsletters, website pages, and event materials
Create compelling visuals and copy to support ongoing campaigns and promotions
Collaborate with graphic designers and videographers to ensure brand consistency
Maintain and manage a content calendar covering multiple simultaneous events
Paid Advertising & Lead Generation
Plan, launch, and optimize paid advertising campaigns across Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Google Ads, and LinkedIn Ads
Perform A/B testing and track campaign performance to improve ROI
Align lead generation efforts with sales and registration teams for conversion
Email Marketing
Plan and execute targeted email campaigns using Zoho
Write compelling subject lines, email copy, and CTAs tailored to various event segments
Build and manage email lists, automation workflows, and performance reports
Monitor open rates, click-through rates, and conversion performance to improve effectiveness
Community Engagement & Client Interaction
Respond to audience messages, comments, and inquiries across platforms
Build engagement through interactive posts, live content, Q&As, and influencer collaborations
Foster a strong digital community and promote event participation
Analytics & Reporting
Monitor KPIs including engagement, reach, lead quality, website traffic, and email performance
Use Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Metricool, and Zoho Reports to assess impact
Provide regular reporting with actionable insights and recommendations
Website Coordination & WordPress Management
Coordinate with the outsourced web development team to ensure up-to-date event listings, landing pages, and blogs
Use WordPress to independently update images, copy, event details, pages, and news/blog posts
Ensure digital campaigns are aligned across all web content
Market Research & Competitor Analysis
Monitor competitor digital campaigns and benchmark performance
Stay informed on industry trends, audience behavior, and marketing tools
Recommend improvements and new digital tactics to stay ahead of the market
Project Management & Collaboration
Oversee multiple concurrent marketing projects
Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to deliver campaigns on time
Ensure consistent messaging and execution across all platforms and channels
Requirements & Skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
Experience
3 to 5 years of experience in social media and digital marketing, preferably in the events or exhibitions industry
Experience managing content calendars, digital campaigns, and performance reporting
Creative & Content Development
Excellent writing and editing skills for social media, blogs, newsletters, email, and website content
Ability to create audience-specific messaging and convert technical information into clear marketing copy
Capable of independently developing and managing content across channels
Technical & Digital Skills
Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects
Expertise in Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram), Google Ads, and LinkedIn Ads
Experience with Metricool for scheduling, publishing, and reporting on social media
Proficiency in Zoho Campaigns for email marketing
Familiarity with Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and email automation tools
Working knowledge of WordPress: adding pages, updating content, uploading images, and publishing blog/news posts
Understanding of SEO principles, digital content optimization, and performance tracking
Comfort with AI-based marketing and automation platforms

Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)
